You've got a great eye for colour... Is the grey background meant to be like that, or is your picture just transparent?
:iconmagdalenatr:
ah, it saved the white as transparent... which is why downloading it looks better :XD:

Thanks :D

I do have some criticisms XD I think that on the Ansel Adams pages, the balance between the two pages looks a little unbalanced - like, you've got that black block down the bottom on the right page, and I think that it makes the white part on the top of the other side look really big. Perhaps you could make the picture a bit bigger, lengthwise? I'm also not too keen on that font for 'Ansel Adams' - I think that the left side of the 'A's should be on more of a right angle... And then, on the spread below the Adams one, I'm not too keen on that red strip at the bottom - maybe if it were a bit less of an aggressive hue? I'm also a little mystified about the choices to put some of the larger images on a left-alignment (the Joel Suazo page, your page, and one of the Ansel Adams pages) - how wide is the page alignment going to be? You've put some pictures right up to the edge, and even across it, in some cases, so this is a little mystifying... For the 'Vintage tutorial' pages, the last two look a little bland - maybe if you put some colour around the outsides of the boxes? Just to help give the image some more depth. Then on the Canon ad and title page opposite it, it seems a little full on to have something like both of those just suddenly happen, after you've had this ultra-clean, modernist thing going on peviously. You could try making the title page lower key, more minimal? Nextly, the two pictures on the top of the left Jon Jacobsen page look really messy, because they're not in alignment with the one below... I'm also not a huge fan of the centered alignment on the page opposite.

Whew, that was quite a nitpick... It's really well designed in general, though. It's clean and modern (if perhaps a little conservative), but quite fun, too. And it's a lot better than a lot of the photography magazines that are already out there.

Wow, thank you :D

Funny thing is, I think that out of all the pages, the Ansel Adams one is the one my teacher liked most.

The left alignment has to do with the way it'll be bound later on, I guess... although

The vintage pages... yes.. I fought with those. A lot.

Anyhow, thank you very much for your imput, it's good to hear comments from other people :D

Yeah, that's what I thought about the left alignment, but then you had some going right up to the edge, and so on...

No problem, it's good to give it :D
